Bart Budwig and David Jacobs - The Flower Song

about

Written and recorded over 2 days when David Jacobs was back in Moscow from somewhere in 2005? This was pre-recording school and was recorded in a 12x12 room at my Dad's house where all my musical equipment/recording gear was.

David wrote the lyrics and played the piano, Bart Budwig did the engineering and sound design. Other than that we both did lots of different stuff, including chewing Ritz crackers.

lyrics

She left me flowers in the hands of the kid in the car seat. Giving what he gave made me feel so upbeat. Then I read the note that the flowers accompanied. Said she left for good didn't care didn't want me.

Chorus:
Gone so long, my doll, my dear. Smell so sweet these flowers left here.
She left me flowers. Blue ones, green ones, yellow one, dandelions, daffodils

Now it's been 8 weeks since then. Feels so good how long it's been. Tears dry, passion die, she's probably with another guy. Where is she, where am I. Well who cares cause I won't cry. The flowers she left me start to wilt before my eyes.

Chorus:
